Hello Mr. Stone,
My name is Steve Balkun and i live in Boston. I am a
20 year old guitarist and I have been greatly a deeply
influenced by all the music the family stone produced
and it will always be in my soul. I was watching a
video of you guys on the Dick Cavett show back in the
day and saw that you were playing a Fender Jaguar that
just had wood finish but tinted slightly orange it
looks like. I was wondering if you had ever Gotten rid
of that guitar or sold it sometime or know anything
about it. I only ask because i bought an old 1963
Jaguar that looks exactly like it and i have never
seen one that looks like it at all and i have no idea
about its history. And if you did part ways with it at
one point maby i have ended up with it. I saw it and i
had to ask. If it is by some crazy chance id like to
let you know it is being played very much and its so
very funky. i have videos of me playing it on my bands
myspace if youd like to look and see. Thanks so much!!
god bless.

Because I KNOW that your family are truly blessed, I believe is the reason
why you have sustained so long. Your music, uncomparable, will live long
past your life on this earth. My mom used to sport the largest AFRO when I
was a kid and everyone used to think she was part of your family. I have let
my twins listen to your music, they are fourteen and they love your music. I
have loved your music so long that I cannot tell you how much it means to me
to know that you are doing music and are in the church. It is a blessing and
I know that your mission is to make people think, feel, and love. When in
New York, please feel free to contact me so that I can have you as a guest
on my program CELEBRITY SHOWCASE. Please keep on keeping on.
LOVE AND PEACE

Dear Freddie, I can't express it in a few sentences. You and your brother made me take up the keyboards and made realise how fun life
can be in your music. You have brought so much happiness into all our lives. You taught respect amongst us all. Love to all brothers. You
told us to 'Make it if you try' and you were right! My twin has bought me a ticket to see you in Hackney in london in July. I have an african
boyfriend and we are trying to fight predujice and show people love and understanding which the world really needs. I am bringin him
along in July, he's amazed at what he's seen of your band. I never thought I'd get to see my heros in person ever again in my lifetime. If
you can pass this message on to your brother : please come to London Sylvester!. People here will welcome you with open arms. Everyone is
open minded and believe in what your message is. Thank you for inspiring me Stone Family. May you always take us higher. Peace and love to
the Stewart Family.

Hey Freddie, Vicki Blackwell here. Hope all is well with you all. I was wondering if you might have a copy of the Don Kirshner's In Concert
that we did around 1975. We've looked everywhere for it. What's up with you lately? Richard and I have been playing around Dallas with the
band but, are feeling led to do more of our own stuff, with some jazz songs, intermixed, with more of an acoustic sound, and only piano,
guitar and violin. We were getting a lot of attention with the band but God has different ideas of success for us. So, following my husband
into whatever God has is always the plan. Love you all and hope to here from you.

Because of you and the family, today this 54yr professional drummer has seen the world. Next to my family, playing my music is the most
important thing to me. I still play your music 3 to 4 times a week. May god bless you all for giving people like me inspiration to pursue
this wonderful ride.

Hello Fred, It good that all you guys are still here and living the dream God lay- out for you and Sly, Rose, Vet I am so proud of Vet,
having the courage to keep Sly and the family stone legancy alive. I know Vet and Rose are in different Band right now but in my heart they
will always be a part of the original Sly and family Stone Sly still has that smile meaning he will come back stronger and better than ever
when he feel the time is right to do a tour with the original. The music will be different but hotter than ever. Take care and God bless.

Freddie,
My name is Curtis Mayfield III. I am a writer producer myself and as you may have guessed come from a musical family myself.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for making good POSITIVE music that is lasting and continues to be relevant today. I have always
considered myself somewhat of an R&B historian. Certainly, Sly was the driving force behind Sly and the Family Stone. However,
I continue to maintain that the sum is always greater than it’s parts. As I listened over and over to your classic tracks I noticed
that not only did you contribute with strong and unique guitar playing but you also had a flair vocally as does Rose, and my guy
Larry Graham. Each of you brought your own flavor to Sly’s vision and ultimately created a sound that no one has ever been able to
duplicate since. It would be hard for me to imagine Sly being as successful without the original members behind him adding there
unique musicianship and vocal style to his recordings. Not a slam on Sly by any means. Just an observation. Hope to see you soon in
Chicago or Las Vegas, I play a lot of poker there, so I can stop by and say hello. Thank you for Letting me Be Myself
Curtis Mayfield III AKA CIII PS: Sly Stone LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Pastor Fred,
While surfing the web I happened to stumble upon a web page that mentioned the "Group's" name and out of curiosity I clicked on to read
what it had to say. I must say I don't know a lot about your music, but I've heard some of the more popular tunes. I do know good
music..."real music" when I hear it, and I love what I heard. This generation needs to experience real music again. Please continue to
use the gift God gave, and use it as a platform to lift him up and he'll draw all men unto himself. God is going to bless you and your
whole family real good.

From Umbria, Italy to your heart: a long-time fan here wishing you peace and love. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the music.
FRESH is forever a masterpiece (or did I mean "I'm An Animal?" Or was is "Can't Strain My Brain"? and on, and on...). Sly Stone was a
HERO to this little white boy growing up in Brooklyn NY way back when. I near lost my breath seeing him on the Grammys! What a dream it
would be to see a new Sly and the Family Stone cd. Listen, tell that brother of yours that the Who recently put out a new cd. TWENTY
FOUR YEARS since their last one. Time doesn't matter. DO IT, please! Again, peace and love, to you and yours, from Italy.....

Hi Freddie,
Happy New Year to you. May your friendships be meaningful, may your family connections be strong and may you know true Peace
throughout 2007. My name is 'Bongo' Clive, I'm a community musician running music making sessions in schools, youth clubs,
residential homes for the elderly and support groups. My main instruments are Bongos and guitar, but at 48 yrs old I'm now learning to
play the piano and I love it. I love Funk and play rhythm guitar in a Christian Funk band.
I live in West Wales, UK, my parents were from Jamaica but I was born in England, never been to Jamaica but I went to Africa last April
with a mission team. I'm married to Julie, we have two kidz (well our son is 25yrs and our daughter is 14 yrs). Both Julie & I are
actively serving the Kingdom of God where we live in various way that God has gifted us, that's all we want to do. Like you I have
personally experienced what Jesus can and wants to do in the life of an individual, when He saved me He told me to tell people about
Him and to reach across the fence of denominations and shake hands with my brothers and sisters. It's not always easy in this part of
the world but wherever the Lord gives me opportunities He brings about a blessing.
I just wanted to say my brother that I came across your website as I was researching about 'The Temptations' - we watched the DVD
last night about they're story, sad stuff at times. As I was surfing for information, Sly & The Family Stone were mentioned.
(I bought a Best Of Sly & the Family Stone CD last year and I love it. ) Then I ended up checking out your site, I'm glad I did.
I want to get your CD, couldn't play the samples on the site but I'm sure I'm going to love it. I want to read more about you guys,
it's amazing that I am actually emailing you. Love,Peace & Blessings to you and your family.
